Frequency Launches AI Platform for Streaming Television, Introduces “Blueprints” and AI Scheduling at NAB Show 2026

A platform-wide AI architecture for channel creation and distribution – from scheduling to optimization.
LOS ANGELES, CA - April 1, 2026 – Frequency, the engine behind the world's leading streaming television channels, today launched its AI platform for Frequency Studio, powering the entire channel creation and distribution workflow.
Frequency Studio is now fully accessible to AI agents across every core service – including content management, scheduling, distribution, graphics, and live operations – enabling channels to be created, programmed, and optimized at scale with dramatically reduced manual involvement.
"Customers are deluged with new AI-powered features – a tool for one workflow, an assistant for one task," said Blair Harrison, Founder and CEO of Frequency. "These are useful, but they are point solutions. They don't share context across the channel lifecycle, they don't learn from each other, and they don't compound in value. Frequency runs one platform, one version, for all customers. It is this architecture that enables us to embed intelligence across the entire system.”
“As AI reshapes every software category, the gap between platforms built for intelligence and those simply bolting on new AI features will be the key differentiator of value for customers.”
Built on this foundation, Frequency is introducing Blueprints. A Blueprint defines how a channel operates – its programming logic, editorial rules, and optimization goals – giving every channel a programmable intelligence layer authored and continuously refined in natural language, by both humans and AI.
A Blueprint can be created from almost anything – a paragraph describing a channel's identity, a sample schedule from a spreadsheet, even from a conversation. AI interprets whatever a customer provides and builds it into a Blueprint that improves over time. Blueprints can be queried, can incorporate research and analytics, and can direct optimization across every channel a customer operates.
AI Scheduling is the first application powered by Blueprints. It transforms content libraries into intelligently programmed channels – continuously, at scale, and in full compliance with rights windows, editorial rules, and audience patterns.
Blueprints are now in private beta with a leading global media and entertainment company. Fully AI programmed and operated channels will be live on major distribution platforms in Q2 2026.
Frequency will showcase its AI capabilities at NAB Show 2026 (April 18–22, Las Vegas) and at StreamTV Denver in June.
